MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Provide functional, technical and product leadership for Peoplesoft Financials modules to immediately support requirements for various concurrent Peoplesoft Financials Continuous Improvements projects.
Assist, as needed, with the companies Accounting Standards Implementation Program.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Provide technical architecture leadership for the delivery of core components primarily in Peoplesoft Financials
Provide functional and technical direction to locally and remotely situated global (Singapore, London) resources
Review functional and technical designs
Provide guidance on implementation process and techniques
Responsible for technical performance and stability of the Peoplesoft platform across projects
Review acceptance test plans/ scripts
Required Skills:
Excellent functional, technical and product knowledge of Peoplesoft financials.
Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of PeopleSoft development tools in particular AppEngine, PeopleTools.
Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in a number of Peoplesoft/ Financials modules that may include GL and Consolidations.
Good technical skills in Oracle 10g.
Strong project management and QA experience.
Excellent team building and management experience.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels;
Structured, methodical thinker;
Full understanding of project life cycle and development methodologies;
Prior experience delivering systems and driving convergence in a multi local and Group Reporting GAAP environment.
Oracle/SQL knowledge also strongly preferred.
Prior and current experience with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft application upgrades desired.
6+ years experience as functional/ technical architect with Peoplesoft Financials products.
Hands on experience with PeopleTools 8.x and Oracle, preferably in a Unix environment.
Demonstrable experience in implementing large sized projects with multi-disciplinary project team preferably in the Financial Services / Securities industry.
Desired Skills:
Exposure to batch scheduling packages such as Control-M desired.
Work experience with large consulting organizations.
Work experience at Financial Firms/ Investment Banks.
Knowledge of Cost Charging a plus.
